I have been looking around online for various sci-fi clubs/societies/etc who appreciate all kinds of science fiction, particularly the "Commando Cody" and "Flash Gordon" serials. After 4 creative years, finally our retro sci-fi adventure cult classic "Max Neptune and the Menacing Squid" is finished and ready to be shown to the public. 2 guys, John Garside and Colin Fleming, did all the editing/cgi in between their day jobs. It is a true testament as to what can be accomplished creatively with a tiny budget. Our FREE premiere is happening June 5th, at Whittier Village Cinema, in Whittier CA. We have people flying in from Chicago to see it, as well as people driving over from Sacramento. Its going to be a blast, as Rob Schrab (creator of "Robot Bastard" and "SCUD the Disposable Assassin") will be in attendance (and we invited Gil Gerard, so maybe him too?). If you guys are available to make it out for a field trip, please email: maxneptune.tickets@gmail.com with your full name, email address, and number of tickets needed. We would like to see true science fiction fans in the audience, and we'd like to meet you! Maybe they will make books based on our film someday?
